Groups

Group management

One of the most important community features of XPECT is group management, allowing you to build your own community or join other players' leagues. Users can easily create their own groups, which can be public or private depending on the kind of community they want to build. The group creator gets full management rights: they can manage members, regulate the way to join, and direct the operation and competitions of the community.

Joining groups

The platform also lets you join groups created by other users. Some groups are freely available to everyone, while others require an invitation or a join request, so every community can operate by its own rules. This system helps players find communities that suit them best, whether it's friendly competitions or larger international leagues.

XPECT official global leagues

XPECT also launches its own official global leagues, where players from all over the world can compare their prediction skills. In these community-based competitions, leaderboards, challenges and seasonal events make the experience even more exciting, while users can stay connected and discover new communities.

Tipping

Match cards

On XPECT, tipping works in a quick, simple and completely user-friendly way. The modern match cards display all important information in one place, so users can easily see current events at a glance. The cards include the match time, the round, the participating teams and all basic information needed to place a tip.

Place a tip

To place a tip, you only need to fill in two fields: the expected score of the home and the away team. There is no complex process or lengthy setup — a complete tip can be placed in seconds, on mobile or on desktop.

Standings

Decisions are supported by a built-in standings view, which helps you see the current position and performance of the teams. This way, players can prepare their tips not only quickly, but also more consciously, while enjoying the excitement of the sporting events.

Extra tips

In addition to classic match tips, extra tips can also be placed. Users can tip, for example, the final winner of a tournament or championship, as well as who will be top scorer. These special tips make the competitions even more exciting and give players additional strategic options.

Scoring

XPECT's flexible scoring system allows every community to operate by its own rules. For public and private community groups, the group administrator can set which scoring system applies to that league or competition. In the official XPECT global leagues and events, the scoring rules are defined by the XPECT organisers, so all participants compete under uniform rules.

The platform supports two different scoring modes:

Highest-point scoring

In this system, only the highest scoring match is taken into account. For example, if a tip satisfies several conditions at the same time, the system only counts the outcome worth the highest points.

Additive scoring

In this mode, every matching sub-score is added together. This way, a more accurate tip can score points in several different categories, which can result in a higher overall result.

The scoring system supports a total of 6 different scoring types:

Exact score — getting the exact final result right
Outcome — correctly tipping the match outcome (win, draw, loss)
Goal difference — guessing the correct goal difference
Team goals — correct tip on the number of goals scored by one team
Total goals — correctly guessing the total number of goals in the match
Reverse goal difference — special scoring option that rewards the tip for the reversed goal difference

In addition to classic match tips, two extra tip categories can optionally be activated:

Final winner tip — which team will win the championship or event
Top scorer tip — who will score the most goals in the tournament or season

This detailed and customisable system ensures that every league can operate in its own style and rule set, while providing a varied and strategic experience for players.

Leaderboard & results

XPECT's leaderboard system displays player performance in a transparent way that can be followed in real time. Within every group, league or competition a leaderboard is automatically created where participants appear based on the points they have collected. The system places the player with the most points in first place and then shows the other participants in descending order, so everyone can easily follow their own position and the results of their rivals.

The platform also has a detailed result-tracking function that makes tips fully transparent. Users can see what tip a given player has placed on a particular match, as well as what extra tips they chose, for example regarding the final winner or top scorer.

During the matches, the system also continuously calculates the points achievable based on the current score, so you can follow in real time how many points a tip is worth at any given moment. After the match ends, the final score is automatically displayed, calculated according to the chosen scoring rules.

For the sake of fair play and equal competition, the tips of other players only become visible from the official starting time of the match. Until then, all submitted tips remain hidden, so nobody can adjust based on others' tips or gain an advantage. After the start time, tips can no longer be edited, so the competition remains fully transparent and fair for every participant.

Ranking

Ranking is based on the points players have earned. The system always first examines which scoring type is worth the most points, and within that the player with the higher value ranks higher. This means that higher-weight, more valuable hits always take priority over lower-point tips — except for the final winner, top scorer and exact-score tip, which always appear in the top 3 places if they have a point value.

If players have an equal score for a given scoring type, the system breaks the tie using the following order:

Most final winner tips
Most top scorer tips
Most exact-score hits
Most correct outcomes
Most correct one-team goal tips
Most correct goal differences
Most correct total goals
Most correct reverse goal differences

Scoring types worth 0 points are not included in the ranking.

If every ranking value remains equal at the end of the game, the system breaks the final tie between players with identical scores by random draw.

Profile customisation

XPECT's profile system is fully customisable, so every player can shape their appearance and community presence on the platform according to their own style and interests. The profile settings allow you to upload an avatar and cover image, change your username, and select and edit your favourite club and national team. In addition, users can manage security settings such as changing their password or, if needed, initiating a full profile deletion.

The reward system of the platform is tied to the global leaderboards, where players can collect different achievements, badges and rewards based on their outstanding performance. These earned rewards can be displayed on the user profile, so every player can see the results and successes others have achieved.

XPECT also provides an advanced friend management system that makes it easier to build community connections. Users can add new friends, accept or reject incoming invites, and remove existing connections at any time. This allows players to build their own community and follow the competitions together.

The platform offers detailed notification management options so users always stay up to date. Notifications can be set up as email or system notifications, and activities related to tips, friends or group events can be handled separately. This way, everyone can regulate what information they want to be notified about, according to their own needs.

For comfortable use, XPECT also supports switching between light and dark themes. With a single setting, users can select the most suitable appearance, so the platform remains comfortable to use at any time of day and on any device.

My groups, my tips

On XPECT, managing groups and tips is fully transparent and accessible from a central interface, so users can follow all important information in one place.

In the "My groups" menu, all the groups created and managed by the player are listed. Here you can easily review which group is active, how many members it has, as well as quickly access the settings and activities related to the groups.

The platform also provides a central tip overview that displays every submitted tip from the groups the user is a member of. This allows the player to follow their entire tipping activity on a single interface, regardless of the league or community they took part in.

This way the user always has an accurate picture of where, when and what tips they have placed, and can easily monitor their full performance across the different groups.
